Horses have endured for thousands of years by relying on a keen sense of awareness about their surroundings. As a social animal, horses exist within the community of a herd complete with its own specific hierarchy, defined much like that of a corporate organizational environment. A horse is very clear about what its intentions are because the survival of the entire herd depends on this commitment and honesty. Interaction within the horse’s “herd philosophy” caters to the core concepts we need to succeed in the workplace.
The horse’s natural instincts of self-preservation and congruency, or truth make them incredibly responsive to the actions or motives that humans display either directly or indirectly. The workshop fundamentals address communication methods and the dynamics of team and leadership styles through a series of goal focused ground exercises with the horses.
At Spring Reins of Hope (SRoH) we offer businesses a selection of results oriented workshops completely anchored in experiential or “action learning” – this training method offers a return-on-investment that develops new insights and ways to implement creative thinking and problem solving skills that align with company culture and values. Each of the SRoH Corporate Herd activities are formatted to combine hands-on experiential exercises with the horses followed by guided discussion to allow participants the space to explore, observe, and reflect on how intention, body language and perspective has a direct impact on effective communication and the varying results we achieve in return. In developing a partnership with intuitive animals to carry out specific tasks you will gain clarity about: compromising, goal setting, working through fears, effective communication, effective teamwork, and ways to create synergy toward mutually beneficial outcomes and relationships.
Spring Reins of Hope will fully customize the EAL workshop to meet the needs and goals of your team or group. We also provide post session assessment reports and also a 60/90 day follow-up discussion which is specified to your group. Our EAL workshops provide groups with a unique, interactive experience to learn and fine tune valuable skills which can be incorporated to enhance both personal and professional growth individually as well as your team department at a whole. SRoH will target exercises and desired outcomes based on goals and gaps that you identify – tell us what is not working or what you want to improve and we will put the horses to work on those specific issues or deficits to achieve the desired outcome.
